Spring Update...long overdue

First of all we bought a house! Mom & Dad Bishop get back from their mission in June so our housesitting stint is coming to a close. Luckily for us it's a buyers market and we got a stealin' deal. We close next week, then we have some fixing up to do before we can move in. Here's a sneek peek at the outside.

Though Spring Break doesn't mean much to me and the boys except a bigger crowd at the park and library, we got to help Bethany and her boys as well as Bridgette and the Wolfe pack celebrate theirs. Bethany came to stay for about a week near the end of March. Sadly, I have no pictures to document the fun. The highlight was definitely our girls night out with Lori & Kendra. We got pedicures and then talked away the evening over Costa Vida salads. Big thank you goes to Boyd for getting all four boys to sleep before we made it home. Bridgette stayed a few nights with us coming and going to the Oregon Coast early April. Lori hosted a big dinner one of the evenings so we could all see new baby Dax. We managed to throw together an egg hunt for the kids (sorry no pics) which children and adults enjoyed alike. James and Andrew just love having company stay with us...especially when there's cousins to play with. James' s prayers at night are getting longer and longer as he often includes the names of all the cousins he has come to know.

Our ward has an annual Easter Brunch and egg hunt, and this year the Easter Bunny crashed the party. Both of the boys were fascinated by him, but also a bit terrified. We couldn't talk James into getting close enough to E.B. for a picture, but we did plop Andrew on his lap for a quick shot.

On your mark, get set...Go!

Andrew and the Bunny himself

Somewhat on a whim, we decided to get the boys a bunny for Easter. James had this crazy notion that when we move to our new house we are going to suddenly have a dog and a cat. Despite my negating such comments he talks about it all the time. I suggested maybe we could get a goldfish, but he wasn't so hot on that idea. We're hoping a bunny will be a good compromise. Both James and Andrew were beyond excited and played with the bunny all day. As far as a name goes it changed several times today. First Ike, then Pokey, and now Harry, all James's suggestions. I'll get back to you when he makes up his mind. We would like to thank Barrett, Kendra, & Bunny LuLu (wherever you are) for letting us borrow their cage.

He was known as Harry by the time I took this shot

Here's just a funny photo of a typical Sunday afternoon taken a couple of months ago

Your house looks great from the outside--I'm excited to see the inside as well. I forgot that you had gotten the bunny...we'll have to stop by sometime and meet your latest addition.
